Short bio
Johannes Hopfner crafts an inhabited alternative folk rock, fueled by a powerful stage presence. As a singer-songwriter and one-man band (guitar, harmonica, sometimes stomp box), he creates a free-spirited indie folk universe, oscillating between acoustic purity and visceral intensity. Through a quest for truth he defines as « live & raw. One take, no fake », Johannes captures the raw energy of the moment, without artifice. His journey has led him from Penny Lane Studio to sharing stages with artists like Yaël Naïm, Moriarty, and Tony Joe White. 💿 EPs: ‘Whispers of the Woodlands’ (2024), ‘Jack & Jo’ (2025) and the French-speaking EP “Fauve” (release 2026).
